Cosmolution aims to provide you the answers for everything that is out there: why the universe expands, how the elements are made in stars, when is the next ice age, will humans mutate again, why were pyramids build in Egypt, Mexico and China, and why is there an evolutionary process to begin with. And did someone design all this or is it just a random mutation of an indefinite number of possibilities?

Cosmolution has been prepared with the objective to provide a comprehensive introduction to the wonders of the Universe, Earth and Life itself.
We are no scientists and Cosmolution does not claim to be a 'popular science' e-book either. We sometimes take short cuts, or alternatively go much deeper than just the mainstream knowledge, and also try to make connections between the various fields of expertise, and provide a critical, comprehensive holistic overview of Evolution and all its wonders.
When you have managed to plough through this, you will most probably be more educated, informed, interested and at minimum far more aware of all there is to know about these topics than before.
It has always been a surprise to me how little we, young and old, know about the things we can actually see and experience almost on a daily basis. And I was one of the ignorami, initially.

Content of Cosmolution
The 'binding force' between the 5 sections of Cosmolution is this ever present relationship between Time and Size/Distance and the evolutionary consequence thereof.
In Part I, The Evolution of the Universe, I will take you back in time, all the way to the birth of the Universe, some 13.8 billion years ago, when quantum physics determined the fate of the cosmos. We cover the Big Bang, nucleosynthesis, the formation of stars, and zoom in on our Solar System.
In Part II, The Evolution of the Forces and Elements, I give you a summary of the latest insights on the 'standard model' of (quantum mechanical) particles, the presumed 'building blocks' of life and matter and forces. And I describe the origin of elements and the basic nuclear processes in stars.
In Part III, The Evolution of the Earth, we cover a selection of topics as Earth formation, plate tectonics, ice ages, extinction events, and climatology, in particular the effects of industrialization over the last century.
In Part IV, The Evolution of Life, I discuss the evolution of life on Earth in general, and humans in particular, including the latest theories on migration patterns 'out of Africa'. I also present the current status of DNA alteration techniques and the consequences thereof.
Finally, in Part V, The Evolution of Why?, I address the relationship between religion and science, the cycle of life and death and the purpose of evolution, and I discuss the 'finetuning' of nature's constants to allow (intelligent) life to exist in the Universe.

The infinite cycle of nature's creation and destruction, life and death
The symbol of the 'tail-eater' (‘ouroboros’ in ancient Greek) is one of the oldest known mythical symbols in the world. In both the Aztec and Chinese mythology, this evolutionary concept was depicted as a snake, eating its own tail. This way, it depicted an eternal circle, symbolizing the cyclicality of nature. The eternal, recurring and interrelated concept of everything we observe around us.
